I promised a few weeks ago that I would photograph the actual paper cut made for the save the dates. Here it is!
Below is an informative video on how papel picado is traditionally made. I only made one! So I just used an xacto knife. It would have been fabulous if I had made them like the artist in the video. Each person could have had their own little papel picado banner! It's one of the crafts that I fell in love with as a kid when we lived in Mexico City.
Excellent post. Why not attempt with chisels?

ReplyDeletei have an earlier post showing the final save the dates. I scanned them. And colored them in photoshop. Then printed them!
